Using the Toolbox

Water insecurity is one of the greatest risks to global prosperity. Global water consumption has doubled every 20 years, and by 2025, at least two-thirds of the world’s population will likely be living in water stressed areas.

Water Funds are organizations that take collection action to help address water insecurity. Water Funds enable downstream water users - like cities, businesses, and utilities - to invest in upstream land management to improve water quality and quantity and generate long-term benefits for people and nature.
